Jefferson Community Garden Project

The Jefferson
Community Garden Project

(JCPG) was established in the spring of 2021 in collaboration with Ken Noble and the Ashtabula County Vocational School (A-Tech), and with assistance from Community Members Diana Sowry, Jim Britton, Kenneth French, and workers from the Greenlight Workforce Development Inc. In their first season, workers cultivated, planted, nurtured, harvested and distributed fresh produce such as: cucumbers, squash, peppers, potatoes, and corn just to name a few, for free by way of a roadside stand to the community. Currently, the JCPG is preparing for the 2022 season, and seeking funding for a pole barn to house their tools and equipment.
